THEO: pre-action, not re-action

Our operations are the foundations of our organisations

Our operations are the foundations of our organisationsOur operations are the foundations of our organisationsOur operations are the foundations of our organisations

How have we never had a system to manage them efficiently?

The Ops Workroom is home to THEO, a new type of Operations Management System, built specifically for NFPs

Can you honestly say your organisation has

clarity, consistency, cohesion, control and capability in everything it does?

Does everyone know what they're doing, why they're doing it, and how it should be done?

Does the right information exist, and does everyone who needs it know where to find it?

This is operations

(BTW — we estimate 95% of Australian NFPs - in fact probably any organisaton - would say no to at least one of these questions. You're not alone; that's why we created THEO)

What do we mean by Operations?

'Operations' are all the activities that make your organisation function — not what it delivers, but everything that makes delivery possible.

It is not just a department. It is not just an activity. It also should not be the junk drawer of your organisation.

It is the connective infrastructure of the entire organisation — the fabric that connects your purpose to your people, your plans to your processes, your funding to your goals.

When its working, everything works. When it not, everything is harder than it needs to be, but worse still, you won't know it until it's too late

At its root, to operate means to make something function. Not to deliver the mission; to make the mission possible

'Operations' is often used to describe production, delivery and supply chains, or facilities and assets. But these are only a small part of Operations - it is much broader. We can't manage it if we don't accurately define it.

Eight elements. Three layers. One system

The Ops Workroom is the first dedicated holistic, interconnected home for Operations.

We call the methodology THEO - The Hub of Elevated Operations; a model of eight interconnected elements that guides you to assess, align and strengthen the operational fabric of your organisation.

Because every element connects to every other, THEO embeds clarity, consistency, cohesion, control and capability into the way your organisation actually works, and builds a useable Operating Model.

For the first time, your operations have a single source of truth

and they can actually be used to drive your organisation

this is what having a home for operations looks like

THEO - The Ops Workroom acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we work and live. We pay our respects to their Elders and ancestors, to Bunjil the creator, and to the land itself. We are honoured and humbled to walk on the unceded sovereign lands of all mobs, particularly the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung people of the Kulin Nation
